Public purchase is the provision of goods and services or transfer of works by a public body, organization, institution or other legal entities which are considered as clients, in a manner and under conditions prescribed by the Law on Public Procurement.

About the Public Procurement

According to the Law on Public Procurement 2002., Public Procurement was formed as a separate organization of the Serbian Government with the task of working on establishing a procurement system that will be economical, efficient and transparent and will allow the strengthening of competition, equal treatment of all offers and the Prevention of Corruption.

More information on the Public Procurement can be found at www.ujn.gov.rs while your procurement procedure prescribed by law you can advertise on the portal of the Public Procurement at http://portal.ujn.gov.rs/, where you can track the status of your purchase, as well as all other public procurement published on the portal.

According to Article 69 of the ZJN, if the value of public procurement for goods, services or works above the limit determined by the Budget Law of the Republic of Serbia for the procurement of low value, the ads are published on the Public Procurement Portal, instead of a daily newspaper, as it was previously the case.

In addition, purchasers may be in the Public Procurement Portal and publish ads for the procurement of low value. Read more about this topic can be read at this link.
